Dear friends of Elizabeth House,

Welcome to the Elizabeth House website!  For those of you new to our program, please allow me to introduce myself to you.  I am the new Executive Director, although I am not really new.  It is with great joy and excitement that I have come home to Elizabeth House!  As the founding Director fourteen years ago, I can't tell you how rewarding it is to return to this valuable outreach of providing shelter, hope and restoration to pregnant women and their children.

Upon opening our doors in 1994, it was my passion and heart's desire to see the lives of homeless women transformed through our unique and holistic program.  Over the years, God has vitally used a devoted team of volunteers, staff, donors, board members, charitable foundations, churches, and community groups to bring about significant life changes in the women and children we have served.  EVERY person or group that invests their time or contribution, their heart and their skill has been a very important part of the success and growth of this program.  I feel so very grateful and humbled to once again be a part of the Elizabeth House staff.

I invite you to browse around our website, and as you do, I hope you can grasp the warmth and inviting place that Elizabeth House is...a safe place of refuge, a nurturing home, a celebrative environment where women learn to be healthy mothers, where babies and children are welcomed, where self-sufficiency is aspired, where broken and wounded hearts are touched with God's healing grace.  Take a look at our family album, open your heart to some of the incredible stories of our clients, seek out our volunteer opportunities, join our support team of donors who are making a difference in the lives of women and children of our community.

Don't be a stranger to us.  Call us and get involved in a personal and rewarding way.  YOUR contribution or gift of service can make all the difference in the world!

In Partnership Together,

Debbie Unruh
