			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We would like to say a big &#8220;THANK YOU&#8221; to all the people who have donated and volunteered this past month.<span id="more-514"></span> Hope Christian Fellowship Youth brought 15 girls to help organize baby clothes and inventory the videos and dvds, Girls In Motion brought onsies that they had tie-dyed for our babies, La Canada Presbyterian Church and Pam Sheldon&#8217;s Group did baby showers for several of our women and Montrose Church did a fantastic Diaper Drive for us.  We had a  group of Girl Scouts build us a garden and  Girl Scout Cadette Troop #7201 did a maternity clothes drive for us and got GapKids involved to raise even more money to get clothes for the babies and children. Our Volunteers and Donors are what keeps us able to help the women and their children and move them forward into a better life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Elizabeth House, we couldn&#8217;t do it without you.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>MOMS CLUB PASADENA NORTH AND THE STYLISH CHILD PARTNER IN A FUND RAISING PROGRAM TO DIRECTLY BENEFIT ELIZABETH HOUSE IN PASADENA.</p>
<p>April 20, 2012 – San Gabriel, CA, &#8212; The Stylish Child &#8211; a resale children’s clothing boutique &#8211; and the MOMS Club have joined forces in a unique fund raising plan.  The Stylish Child’s “50/50 Partnership” Program is made available to local charitable organizations, pre-schools and elementary schools. Participants in the 50/50 Partnership Program donate gently used pre-owned merchandise to The Stylish Child boutique, located in San Gabriel, CA. The items are then displayed for sale and when sold, 50% of the sales will go <em>directly </em>to the participant.<span id="more-509"></span></p>
<p>“We are thrilled to be partnering with The Mom’s Club in this exciting plan that will directly benefit The Elizabeth House in Pasadena and its critically important mission”, stated Hallie Localio, owner of the Stylish Child.  “As a local business owner, mother and resident of the community I fully understand the importance of supporting local causes and giving back”.</p>
<p><em>“We are very excited to partner with The Stylish Child to  help support Elizabeth House, “said Nikki Guinta Administrative VP of MOMS Club Pasadena North. “ Elizabeth House is such an important resource in the Pasadena area.”</em></p>

We had eight wonderful, energetic, committed, strong, and beautiful people come and work with us from 9am to 2pm.<span id="more-487"></span> They were so impressive as they took over 1500 toys, crafts, books and clothing organizing them into our new alumni room for our workshops. They were worked so hard and were such a joy to work with. Thank you again Christian Assembly for sending us such a great group to work with on your Urban Plunge Day. See you next year!!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dear friends of Elizabeth House:</p>
<p>The 2012 Elizabeth House Gala <em>“Where Love Embraces Life” </em>held last Friday evening was a wonderful success. The Benefit Committee, Board of Directors and staff are rejoicing and celebrating a fabulous and successful evening!  The Altadena Town and Country Club was filled to capacity as 230 supporters and guests of Elizabeth House gathered to celebrate.</p>
<p>The Gala Committee of this benefit put on an Event that I am thrilled to report, generated a net amount over $130,000 which surpassed our budgeted goal of $85,000.  We are SO happy with the outcome and grateful for the generous support of our donors</p>
<p>So much about the evening proved to be a “success.”  The Silent Auction included over 90 packaged items. We are indebted to the numerous vendors who donated these items AND to the many individuals who procured them!<span id="more-479"></span></p>
<p>We were very pleased to have Mr. Jeff Michael as our honored guest and emcee this year. Jeff kept the evening moving along. His humor, whit, and enthusiasm kept us entertained and engaged, especially during the Live Auction.  Perhaps the highlight of the evening program was the showing of our DVD… a powerful and moving portrayal of Elizabeth House in action – changing lives one family at a time. Following the video we heard from one of our alumni, Janna, as she shared her story and expressed her thanks and gratitude.  I do not think there was a dry eye in the room as we heard the life-changing account of God intervening in her life.</p>
<p>The program was concluded as Jeff led us in a <em>“Take a Stand</em> <em>Challenge”</em> in support of Room and Board for mom and her child. I was moved with gratitude as I saw many of our guests stand up in financial support of our program.</p>
<p>Certainly, a successful and rewarding Event could not have happened without the hard work and endless hours of many volunteers, as well as the support of business establishments and individuals who donated so much.</p>

Reception with the artists immediately following.</p>
<p> Proceeds from this concert benefit Elizabeth House, a Pasadena-based charitable organization that provides shelter, hope and support to homeless pregnant women and their children.</p>
